According to the manufacturer, Perma-Chink log home sealant is "a flexible, textured chinking that seals the open gaps between logs to eliminate heat loss and air infiltration." Although the sealant has the look of traditional mortar, it's actually a pure acrylic that "adheres to logs and stretches to maintain a tight seal by following log movement."
The product is available in three convenient forms: 11 oz tubes, 30 oz tubes, and 5 Gallon pails. Since World of Stains ships 5 GL pails free, for many jobs pails are clearly the best choice.
